Description
Heather Flowers modern usage mainly centres on its diuretic and antiseptic properties and it is used to treat urinary tract infections such as cystitis.
The tops also brew into a mildly sedative tea which is said to treat insomnia, depression and nerve exhaustion. In mountainous regions of Europe, and Scotland in partcular, the flower tops are soaked on oil or alcohol to treat arthritis and aching joints.
