Also known as "True Cinnamon" or Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum).
Cinnamon is a beautiful and versatile spice, often used as a flavour-enchancer in cooking and baking.
Cinnamon is a universal spice with many beneficial properties including: digestive aid, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, warming and grounding, anti-viral and anti-fungal. It can also be used in actions such as: stimulant, diaphoretic, carminative, alterative, expectorant, diurectic.
Used in Ayurvedic medicine for tooth aches, muscle tension, colds and flus, and is also thought to strengthen the heart, warm the kidneys improve the flow of circulation, warm the kidneys and promote healthy digestion.
